John Nurminen Oy invests in occupational health safety management

John Nurminen Oy has acquired 40 % of Hoffmanco International Oy; a Finnish company specialized in occupational health safety management.

Hoffmanco’s business objective is to help companies manage risks and costs caused by reduction in staff working ability. The company invests in maintaining the working ability of the staff by developing clear models for monitoring disabling morbidity and occupational health safety management. The activity is based on a model for control and management of working ability that has been developed within the Finnish industry.

The company was founded in 2008 by Arvi Parvinen and Heikki Pilvinen, both of which have long experience in the field of health care in Finland. Lasse Parvinen is the Managing Director of the company and Heikki Pilvinen is Chairman of the Board. John Nurminen’s representatives on the Board of Directors are Markus Aalto, Jan Lönnblad and Jouko Lönnqvist.

“Hoffmanco’s objective is to further expand its operations in Finland and also to export their business idea to international markets. The entry of John Nurminen will make these plans possible” says Heikki Pilvinen, Chairman of the Board.

“This partnership offers John Nurminen an exciting new opportunity to participate and develop working ability management and to support the company’s internationalization process” says John Nurminen’s Managing Director Jan Lönnblad.
