Founded in 1888, the Dutch company Gerlach Art Packers & Shippers B.V. is one of Europe’s leading fine art logistics companies. Gerlach’s extensive range of services includes art shipping, packaging, storage and conservation. In addition, Gerlach offers exhibition and event logistics services as well as collection maintenance, management and security services. Its clients include the world’s most important art museums, galleries, auction houses and art collectors.

Gerlach operates its own art transport fleet, in addition to which it has weekly road transports between the most important European art cities. Gerlach’s logistics personnel is specially trained in the handling of art, and they have developed several methods of art packaging for the fine art logistics industry. Gerlach has subsidiaries in Germany, Belgium and Luxemburg. In recent years, the company has also expanded to Israel and China. Gerlach was acquired by John Nurminen in August 2008, making John Nurminen into one of the world’s leading providers of fine art logistics.
